Going along with the theme of the new header photo (yep, I'm still chuffed that I managed to do that) - this is a little fat book bound with the BIA that I have made with photos of the masks and background info on the tribes that carved them. Yes, I know that some people think its a pretty weird thing to have covering your lounge walls - but I love them!! :)
This is it alongside the masks and other African artwork.
WOW....well what can I say apart from this is an amazing little tag book. What a fantastic idea and it looks gorgeous.A super way to record the details of all the masks.
great idea annette and it wouldnt do for us all to have the same taste but i will say they are lovely pieces of ART and the fab colours are stunning the feel of all that gorgeous wood. Love the tag idea too its like a little brag book. chriss x

Really love the tag book and the earthy tones which match the African masks. I have an lots of elephants and giraffes etc back from friends who visited Africa and can understand your obsession completely.
Good to see you're blogging again VV, missed you! The tag book is a fantastic idea, love that you've made it part of the decor. I love the masks, think it's a great feature on your wall.

Found you blog on the blog link at uks...from one mask lover to another..your masks are awesome!!I have a number of masks from different places and ones people have bought for me, unfortunetly they are houses in a couple boxes carefully wrapped as we just had a house move and I cannot decide where I want them lol. Great mini album to show yours off and perhaps I will lift your idea to show mine off as well. Also..your wall looks awesome!
Such an interesting little tag book. And I guess you had fun making it too. Thanks for your nice comments about my blog - I have been here often but not sure I left comments before. I recently bought a BIA and can't wait to make something special with it. Right now it's not here because I share it with a friend. Oh yes - and thanks for being just the wee push I needed to get my blog visible on UKS. Being a bilingual blogger takes a bit extra time - but I do enjoy every minute of it as so many UKS ladies take time to visit me.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment, it is truly appreciated - sort of confirms that it is more than my Mum and husband that read this thing! :)
I began scrapping when we were living in South Africa and have developed a bit of an addiction to mini books of all kinds. I then moved to Saudi Arabia and onto Calgary, Canada and finally to Brisbane in Australia. I spend my time playing with stash! I was on the Zutter's Design Team 2008 - 2009 and love playing with my BIA. Latest update is that I have finished my travels and am back home in Scotland getting the house organised after many years of being all over the world.
A wonderful project Annette, beautifully realised! :)
