T on Tuesday

I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday and as you can see this particular Tuesday has been designated as sort the ribbon stash out.... again.....
the ribbon on reels aren't too bad but these always end up at the bottom of the large box and I forget to search down that far when I am looking for a particular sort or colour.
and this canvas storage box is full of larger ribbons and lace and ric-rac
and I am hoping that it will be 'a piece of cake' as it says on my frothy coffee mug.... but I think it may take a while....
oh and we finally got some of the masks back on the lounge wall!  I have kept the numbers down this time and made it into a feature piece rather than try and display every mask I own.  Yes, the picture at the top of my blog was my lounge wall previously....
and this it with both the uplighters and downlighters on... think it looks quite nice! ;)
Looking forward to visiting all the T ladies between ribbon sorting!

  1. Your lounge looks very cosy, and you sure have a lot of ribbons to sort out! Enjoy your frothy coffee and happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  2. And I thought I had a lot of ribbon! It is "fun" sorting things though--at least for me.

I love your mask display--especially the elephant!I assume you collected them on your travels around the world?

  3. Well you know... i like it both ways! I like it more spaced out but then i like the idea of you being able to show your whole collection... :) Happy happy Tday! Hugs! deb

  4. wow -what a super redo of your wall of masks-love it!! The lighting really shows them off beautifully. I know what you mean about all the ribbons etc. I finally stopped buying them-discounted or not-enough is enough:) Happy T day!

  5. Ah a girl after my own heart with your very fine ribbon collection!
They are something to deal with tho aren't they. I try to remind myself that I now have enough.
Your lovely piece of cake mug is making me hungry ;-)
    Happy T Day oxo
What a fabulous mask collection AND display you have in your beautiful room!

  6. i´m really impressed by the masks on the red wall - the light Shows them so beautifully.
ah, the ribbon mess. and the washi tape mess. and the embroidery floss mess... should i go on?;)
    happy t-day to you!

  7. When you find a GOOD way to store your ribbons, please let me know. It's one of the things that truly befuddles me. I have tried nearly everything and not much as worked. You seem to have lots of it. I gave up on paper ribbon several years ago, but even my fabric ribbon is out of hand.

I adore that Piece of Cake mug. It is gorgeous, and really regal looking.

In a way, your mask wall looks a bit bare, but I like it because each mask has its own light now.

Thanks for sharing your mask wall, your lovely mug, and your ribbon sorting with us for T this Tuesday. Any and all suggestions for better ways to store ribbon will be greatly appreciated!

  8. Love how the lighting shows off all your masks on the wall......very pretty.

Thanks for the visit and the comment, the BBQ place wasn't full because we were there mid afternoon.....between lunch and dinner...LOL

  9. You got me with ribbons! Good luck with the sorting.. Your wall looks fabulous - love the lighting effects.

  10. Ribbons are hard to store. We have ours in those picture boxes you can get at the craft stores like Michael's and JoAnn's. That way there's only one layer and we can sort them by color and even stack them if we need to.

You really have a wonderful mask collection. I'd put up as many as you please! ;) Happy T-Day! :)

  11. Good luck with sorting and storing your ribbons! I love the new arrangement in your lounge! Happy T day! Chrisx

  12. I have been sorting through ribbons too! I have three rather large boxes with ribbon in and actually I rarely use any ribbon these days! I was sorting mine with a view to shoving some on Gumtree. Maybe someone else who uses more ribbon than me can get the benefit of it. I've quite a lot of stuff I should be clearing out but you really have to be in the sorting out mood to do it! Love your mask wall. I have two wooden masks my son brought back from his travels in Africa. Good luck with your sorting.

  13. Oh that wall looks lovely! Yes, I can see now that less is better. Your living room looks really cozy and I love the colour of the wall behind the masks and the lighting.
I know what you mean about the reels sitting at the bottom. I have got two separate boxes for that very reason.
    Thanks for visiting earlier,
    Have a good week,

  14. well good luck with the clear out...I always just end up with more stuff eventually. everything looks like a potential art supply to me! Truly stunning display of masks...quite striking! happy T day!

  15. Have fun with sorting all that super stuff! I am impressed by your awesome masks!
    Happy T-Day!

  16. Hope you were successful with your ribbon sorting and I love that mug.
The lounge wall is looking fabulous - love the colour.
    Toni xx

  17. Love your lounge wall and those lights are fab.
Don't envy you the ribbon storage problems, that is a lot of ribbon.
Take care and have a good week.
Thanks for the visit - for some reason I cannot sleep and I have to be up early in the morning for a tradesman to arrive.
    Hugs, Neet xx 2

  18. Seems like there are certain items we always need to clean, isn't it? With me it is always my rubber stamps. And Happy belated T day. Love those masks. How fun are they?

  19. Love your lounge. So lovely!Your mug is beautiful and I have to sort out my ribbons too.Need motivation to do that!Happy belated T Day, dear!
