What's on You Workdesk Wednesday 16th November 2011

I'm back!!  I haven't really had anything on my desk for a couple of weeks as Mum and I have been busy doing other things so I hope you missed me! You didn't?  Poop...  LOL
We did go to charity/thrift shop the other day and I picked up some bits that will be lovely to alter and play with so that is what is on my desk today... I have ideas for each item so that should keep me busy in the coming days now that Mum has returned to France and Chris is off on Thursday to Fort Mac for two weeks.
The polystyrene head was not my idea... Chris found a huge rack of them in the thrift store and came and found me saying he had found something he knew I would love.... he was correct!! I picked up two of them... I am going to have an experiment to see what sort of finish the polystyrene will take...
the flattish tray was for holding a dolly and magnetic clothes but the both the dolly and the clothes were MIA but it reminded me of the 7Gypsy trays so I am hoping with a little paint and paper it will turn out looking something like them and the little set of drawers were too cute to leave behind.
Don't forget to pop over to Julia's for the full linky list to desks everywhere!!

I'll be happy to admit I missed you. In fact, you don't know how much! WOW!! Chris was right. He did "good." Love the head. And I agree that the holder could take the place of the 7-G holders. That set of drawers is awesome, but definitely NOT your style. I know that will change soon, though. Have a great WOYWW from (don't ask how) #1 this week.

Your name is comfortingly familiar as I see all the amazing things you make appearing on the blogs of friends :) I love little sets of drawers but they can cost as arm and a leg to buy for things so small. I need to be more investigative me thinks!

What super finds! Love the tray and the drawers and the polystyrene head has potential - I remember when I had one that used to 'wear' a wig (when they were fashionable back in the early 70s) - Hazel WOYWW #43 x

LOL I love your sense of humour but sorry to say I dont think I have visited your blog before so sorry about that and poop to me. You lead a very nomadic life, I take my hat of to you, I will need to get some pointers from you as hubby is contemplating a move overseas.

Hi Annette - in my head I have been doing something to a polystyrene head but not even started it yet and now "C" cards are in the way. Love your finds and those drawers - I could not alter them in any way, they remind me of my trips to America so much. Mind you if I started collecting roosters and things that I feel would match in I would need a new kitchen so I won't go down that line.
Glad you are back but sorry your mum has gone back.

I missed you - even though I struggle to get round! You've had fun with your Mum, hope her travels are safe and sound. This time next week you'll have tackled all these things and I'll be Miss Inadequate again...those poly heads are scarey.

I felt guilty - I've been sidetracked,so have been an absentee blogger too, and I forgot to mail your doll, so it will be another while before you get it, so shall we say quits? and just catch up as best we can?
