Happy Canada Day
We have a lovely sunny day to celebrate Canada Day... with William and Kate visiting Ottawa... I liked her red maple leaf fascinator and the maple leaf brooch (if there is a mother-in-law to borrow jewelry from, it's gotta be a good bet to have the Queen's stuff to borrow)!! It's a shame that Chris is working away in Fort McMurray so I won't be about seeing what Calgary has to offer. Today is also Chris' 37th anniversary of working with Fluor... that's quite some achievement... 37 years of tootling around the world earning a crust or two!! LOL
In three days we will have been in Canada for a year... obviously a week of celebrations!!
Me? I'm going to spend the day playing in the scrap room...
Gosh, is it a year already - doesn't seem that long since you were packing to go to Canada.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your scrapping.

Happy Canada Day to you, too. It actually seems like it's been longer than a year since you moved to Canada. Guess it was just a very long winter.
ReplyDeleteGuess it's a good anniversary all the way around. And I think both he and YOU have done really well seeing more of the world than I'll see in my lifetime. I've been in all lower 48 states, but not overseas. I like this photo of the lovely read leaf. Simply beautiful.
I went shopping with my friend Kathy today. We looked at shelving although I didn't buy any. I think I'm going to end up buying shelving, since the posts/poles are nowhere to be found. Seems like I should be able to get some help with finding the poles, but that isn't going to happen, and I can't do much of anything until I can put the returned items on shelves. Thanks for asking, or mentioning it, though.
