Home Alone...

Altogether now... aaaaaah.... it is our 12th Wedding Anniversary today and Chris is away on site for two weeks so I am all on my lonesome for our wedding anniversary.  We did do our celebrating last week when he was home so you don't have to feel sorry for me really!! :)
This is what I got....
Isn't it fabby dabby doo?  The chairs close in and make it a complete oval of books and it even has a secret compartment!! (OK... not such a secret now then eh)?  It's for our home in Scotland and I have just the spot in mind for it... we have a sitting area at the end of the kitchen which at the moment has two old fashioned wing back chairs and a coffee table in it... this is going to look brilliant there!

and this wall clock!!  Isn't that stunning? Sort of steampunky but ok for the house too?
It does say that linen is the gift for 12th Anniversaries... but I didn't want new sheets!! :)
and he bought me this spinny storage unit for my scrap desk...
and it spins and has space for ribbons and a pull out drawer and a magnetic board too!
So I think I made out like a bandit... spoilt brat that I am!! :)

  7. You did make out like a bandit. I love it all! That clock. I think I am going to try and make a Steampunk clock. My hubby said he can help with the workings.

  10. I'm very impressed by the goodies Chris got you. It's good to k=have a plan for furniture and it sounds like you have the perfect spot for the table and chairs. It really IS a lovely unit.

But I'm actually torn between the gorgeous clock and the spinning craft unit on your desk. I guess if I had my druthers, I would wish for the clock, since I have a revolving (albeit, not as nice) craft unit. That clock really blows me away.

Happy belated anniversary, dear friend. I know you had fun last week, while you were celebrating, so hope to see you more this week.

  11. Well...aren't you the smiling one today! Those are all fab gifts. Love that spinning craft storage especially, but the clock would look great in MY living room and the table and chairs too.

  12. Thought about sending an e-mail, but decided to send a message here instead. Much easier than trying to log into my e-mail. A Magic Eraser is made by Mr. Clean. You get two or six in a box and they are about the size of a 3 X 5 index card, only thicker. You find them at your local grocery store/super market or places like WalMart in the laundry detergent aisle. There may be a generic brand, also, but as for me, Mr. Clean is the only brand I have ever seen or purchased.
