I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday with.... yes, a cup of tea! I am busy playing with my sewing machine.. I am making a bag to hold the quilt I just finished.
This is the quilt... and in real life the blue is more aqua than it seems to be on my 'pooter screen!
Close up of the butterflies and the binding around the edge.
So that is me for today... beavering away in the cool of the basement... upstairs is a bit warm but the cats love it!! LOL
I always like when you drink tea from a "proper" cup and saucer. You are good at that.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is adorable, and that bag will really compliment it. You are such a good seamstress. All I can sew is paper (and a few art quilts that don't even get edges). I admire your seamstress skills.
Thanks for joining T today, dear friend.
I just enlarged the first photo and noticed all the stitches on your machine. You have one super sewing machine. I also see you leave an empty bobbin on your bobbin threader, too. I thought I was probably the only person who did that.
ReplyDeleteI totally love that quilt, I so wish I could learn how to sew, my Mum gave me her machine, but I just cannot thread it :( xxxx
ReplyDeleteI think I would need to go back to school to be able to use that machine! Love the fabric you have used here.
ReplyDeleteYou are really getting into your quilts Annette - another beautiful creation.

Wowee you've been busy...not only a pretty quilt but a bag too!
ReplyDeleteYour cuppa tea looks just right to me on this misty morning.
Happy T day to you

Very pretty quilt. A bag is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
The quilt is beautiful and the sewing machine is awesome, but I was truly impressed with how organized you are! Of course I am talking about the pin cushion, scrap collector mat you obviously made with pockets for tools, etc!
ReplyDeleteHi, and Happy T Day! Your quilt is so cute, and great for spring. Hope you're enjoying the onset of spring, as we here in the States are settling into autumn. Take care!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt, and a bag to store it in is a perfect idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day
What a lovely quilt! and a bag to put it in...great idea. Great colors and a fun print! Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteWow what a fabulous machine you have there! I'm sure it must have made your tea as well! Love those butterflies, a real keep sake quilt!
ReplyDelete((Lyn)) Happy T day
