Happy Halloween!

I got up early this morning and decided to make these for the two little girls that live next to me.  I figure they will be around later trick or treating.  We don't normally get many kids knocking and having been sick for the last 10 days with some flu bug and conjunctivitis I haven't really felt like decorating the house and being in the mood for Halloween... LOL
and I made this version for my friend's grandson, as I am sure he will be by this evening to visit with his Gran.
My poor Mum and I have been ill since the day after she arrived for her two week holiday,,, so you can imagine how annoying it is to know that she is leaving on Sunday and we have managed to only do a handful of the things that we planned... poop.
Anyways, Happy Halloween to everyone, hope you have a lovely evening with lots of little ghosties popping by!!

Spoiled Puttycats...

Probably not so much spoiled and more their humans wanting to remain partially sane....
We had a cat enclosure made for them so they can go outside and hunt dead leaves and sit in the sun (when there is sun) and at least feel as though they are part of the big bad world.
because they have had to be indoor cats whilst we were travelling, they have no road sense so would get hurt or worse so at least now they can venture out and see what is going on in the garden.
Pandy thinks it is wonderful and has been known to sit out on the high shelf even when its raining!
Tom-Tom thinks it isn't big enough... there is no pleasing some folk!!  Poor wee mannie, he has had a tough time of it over the last month or so... he got very stressed with the kitchen reno work and being shut in a room all day for a couple of weeks so I took them to the cattery for a couple of weeks hoping that would help... it didn't... so a trip to the vet and some tablets and calming medicine and lots of Feliway plug ins and spray and he is feeling much more like his laid back self now.  I know how he felt... I could have done with the calming medicine myself!!

The Kitchen is finished... sort of...

Yep, it is almost done... some issues that need to be sorted out, a missing curved door that they seem unable to get hold of, some plaster work that wasn't done properly or done at all, the worktops don't fit...
but I have working taps and a working hob and a working oven!! LOL
and now we have knocked half the wall down between the kitchen and dining room, we use the dining room space all the time, which seems so much better than having a closed off room that nobody went into.
this is the dining room from the kitchen...
and the kitchen with the double doors to the lounge from the dining room...
and at the end of the kitchen is Chris' chair where he sits and chats to me while I cook or make green smoothies and the mahoosive radiator that will hopefully keep us toasty and warm come winter!  (the bookcase will go as soon as I find something that I like to put the phone and modem on...)
and I have been busy in the scraproom too!  I have unpacked all the scrap boxes!!  I know... its hard to believe, but they are all emptied and the stuff is put away... the fact that I won't be able to find anything for months is lost on me... but at least the cats can now sleep in the scraproom while I sort cupboards and get rid of stuff I don't need and soon... very soon... I will be able to sit and create something.  I have missed that... way more than I thought I would.
