WOYWW 227

This is my work desk this morning in bright and sunny Brisbane.  I had taken a break from blogging so that I could catch up on some stuff that I wanted to get finished before my Mum and son arrive because I know once I have visitors that my creating time tends to diminish whilst I enjoy the company.
So it is my sewing machine and on the right you can see a pile of bags with quilts inside which I have made for LillyBo Quilts.  I am hoping that my visitors will be able to take them back with them and post them off to Jo(zart) in the New Year.
Little boy quilt with cars and trucks
and backed with little cars
and the bag with some felt cars hanging from a chain.  they can be removed and played with on the quilt.
Little boy raggedy quilt...
backed with soft fur fabric.
and matching bag.
An alphabet quilt.
backed in blue.
Little girl's heffalump quilt...
with satin ribbons to play with.
backed with lots of birds.
Don't forget to check out the linky list for all the desks to visit over at Julia's place and if you could leave your number, I would be super grateful!! :)

  1. Beautiful quilts Annette, Jo will be thrilled! Good idea to get caught up before your visitors arrive and quite right that you should spend your time with them and not worry about getting online so much. When do they arrive? Better Australia in "winter" than Canada, lol!

I can't make things like this, so I really admire the skill involved. What a lovely idea this is. I'm sure little ones who really deserve these will love them! Happy WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #38

  14. Oooh the transport Quilt! I know a few little boys who would so love this!
As would I love to know how to sew. But I can't do it all, so for now I stick to papercrafting. It sure does look soft and inviting. Such a great idea also to make a bag to go with them :)

  19. Jiminy! All so lovely! I haven't touched my machine since I handed over the ones I made - aching to get back to it but there is so much to do and time is always at a premium. I think I need a rigid schedule - Monday Scrapping, Tuesday Gelli, Weds. WOYWW, Thursday printables...Friday Quilting? Kinda sucks the joy out of being crafty if you can't DO when inspiration strikes but what's a girl to do??

    :)

I am determined to be early this week
    Happy WOYWW!

  41. Not sure how I missed this, but I'm glad to see you are well. Those quilts are fantastic. It sounds like Christopher or your mom will have a big bundle to pack when they return home. I bet you are glad they will be coming. Of course, that means time out and about, a fun time I always enjoy sharing with you.

BTW, if you and Christopher run across a kookaburra and call it something else, I won't be able to correct you and I probably won't even know the difference. However, if it's a moose . . . (grin)
