T on Tuesday

I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday with a mug of chai tea... still looking for a new tea that my tastebuds will accept, have tried a few of the Earl Gray types and they didn't suit.
I had made a pile of little rosettes with the TH rosette die that fell into my shopping basket at the weekend...
so thought it would be a good idea to make a set of little note cards, they might be handy as a gift if I made a little folder box for them?

and I had a pile of book pages from my altered book so thought I would make a wreath for the wall, I don't have a lot of Christmas decorations here with me, so this should make it look a little more festive!
I filled the centre with large jingle bells and some pearls
I think I might try making a smaller version in Christmas patterned paper but it will wait till my Mum gets here later this week and we can cut and fold all those pieces a team!!

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday 232

This is my work desk this warm sunny morning!  Hmmm, yes, apologies for the mess, I am still working on the mini (which is becoming less mini by the hour) book for Neet and Flat Susan travels. You can see the normal tools of the trade on the desk, some travel/journey themed stamps and papers.
This should give you an idea of the design, two large matchboxes on the base, hopefully these will give Neet somewhere to store FS and her luggage safely! The mini mini book between the two matchboxes and the larger book on the top.
Short and sweet this morning waiting to link up to our leader, Julia over at the Stamping Ground (and she has new boots, perfect for stamping everything in sight)!!

T on Tuesday

Across road from where I live is a small park with a memorial for a WWI soldier.
26 years old, how sad, the same age as my son.
In the ground in front is a poppy embedded into the concrete.

The sign explains that Andrew Clarke was the only soldier from the village to have lost his life in WWI.
So I popped over to visit with him yesterday (which was Remembrance Day here) and leave my poppy on the gate. I don't think there are any of the Clarke family remaining in the area as the house was knocked down a few weeks after I moved here in April this year and it is now for sale, but his name lives on as the street I live in is Andrew Avenue.
I am joining Elizabeth and Bleubeard for T on Tuesday with a cup of Chai tea and a chocolate chip biscuit... I am trying to find a tea that tastes like tea... I gave up smoking a month ago and since then my cup of tea has changed its taste!  Woe is me!  Those that know me, know that my tea consumption is way past the norm and to have it taste weird is devastating to say the least... hopefully by going through the supermarket tea shelf I will find one that agrees with my new taste buds.

WOYWW 231

It's that time of the week again! A tour of all the fabby creative desks you could wish for... via the link at darling Julia's Stamping Ground.
This is my work desk, coffee stained papers in the foreground to make book pages, have started to stamp them up ready, and anyone that saw the strips from yesterday
yes... these... and wondered what I was planning to do with them...
If anyone wants to know how to get paper this colour and with the lovely crackle of aged olde worlde appearance then my tutorial is here.
they are now a little book.
which is part of the Flat Susan bookset I am making Neet... this ickle one is going to be a sign in book of names and blogs of all the lovely people who will have had FS as a guest by the time she finishes her world tour.  So I guess I had better get on and sort the rest of it out now too! LOL

T on Tuesday

I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday...
I have a mug of frothy coffee and lots of strips of paper that I have stamped to within a inch of their lives...
I made a pile of my coffee paper yesterday and now I am sitting playing in the hope that Mr Mojo will return from where ever he is and join in the fun.
the frangipani are in full bloom and smell wonderful
the lillies are also in full colour
and the large cheeseplants in my garden produce these flowers, they are huge, about 10 inches in length... they don't last long though, they bloom one day and the next there is no sign of them... no, honest, they vanish completely as though they were never there... I think possums eat them at night!!
All of this is viewed through my watering eyes, running nose and scratchy throat... yes, it seems I have moved to the world's worst hayfever city for this time of year...
