21st Album for My Son

First page dedicated to the rest of his life...

I spent ages looking up all sorts of facts from 1987, the year he was born, and added them to pockets in the book.

Little fold out booklet with photos from all the big movies in 1987.

This is the booklet opened up to reveal the movies of the year he was born.

A friend gave him a painting for his 21st of the garage door at parents house in Rora, Peterhead.

News items from 1987... I remember being in hospital after he was born and reading about the Zeebrugge ferry disaster.

Star sign for March.

Photo of him taken when he was up in Scotland on vacation.

Some of the fashions from 1987.... oh boy, can recall those cycle shorts, they didn't leave much to the imagination!

Photo taken at a ruin during the summer.

I made this little dial showing the prices of things like bread, milk and petrol in 1987 and then when you turn the tab, it reveals the prices in 2008 of the same things.

A photo of him and me when he first came home from hospital.

This is the dial turned to the 2008 prices for stuff.... blogger wouldn't load the photos in the order I wanted. :(

My Scrap Room/Little Bit of Paradise

This is a little table and chairs so I can have someone over to scrap with me or just sit and have a coffee and chat.
My paper storage and Expedit shelves for all my stash and books.
Loads of work surface to spread out and play on!
Computer and Craft Robo area with plenty of cupboard storage.
This is where scrap happens!

This is my scraproom, it doesn't always look this tidy but I love the space, the storage and the large amount of work surface so I can spread myself out and play for hours.

Made this as a thank you. Used pocket pages with a tag inserted for extra pics or journaling and inbetween each page is a tag page. Papers are from K&Co.

The Dammit Doll

Had to make a couple more of them as people seem to like them! ;)

Now I know I need to go and find something sensible to do, because this is what happens if I don't! He's kind of cute though!! I made him for a friend of mine, but now I am not so sure she is going to be very impressed! :)

The little rhyme that goes with him is:
The Dammit Doll
When you want to climb the wall
and stand right up and shout
Here's a little Dammit Doll
You cannot do without

Just grasp it firmly by the legs
and find a place to slam it
and as you whack the stuffing out
yell Dammit, Dammit, Dammit!

If Dammit's not a word you say
then twist its little neck
and grumble repeatedly
Oh heck, oh heck, oh heck!

And once you're done abusing it
just sit it on a shelf
but hug it first, as I'd hug you
if I were there myself...

Kiri's Circle Album

My son asked if I would make a friend he has shared halls and a house with an album with pics of the times the 4 of them have been together but he didn't want it to be 'old fashioned or flowery".... hmmm - I picked up the gauntlet and tried to do funky and modern!! Lifted loubylou on UK Scrappers idea from her CJ Journal for the front cover - a photo of Kiri's eyes (the recipient) and blinged it to bits! Loads of BG and ribbons and more BG. I think I achieved 'funky' ?? Design from cotescrap blog.

Mother's Day Book

I made this mini book for my Mum for Mother's Day. Tried something different to hide the BIA wires as I wanted the effect to be pretty and feminine. Used half a kitchen foil tube and then covered it with papers.

Made this for my Mum, it contains photos from her trips to visit us when we were in South Africa.
