T on Tuesday

I am joining Elizabeth for T on Tuesday this week... with a mug of frothy coffee!  It is the only coffee of the day... the rest of the time it is tea.... in a cup and saucer, but mid morning I really enjoy that one cup of coffee.
I have been making an envelope to hold some birthday gifts for a friend.
and made up some tags in chipboard and stamped them with quotes...
I think these are Tim Holtz stamps...
pretty sure that is a Tim Holtz... will go and check... and clean them up! LOL
It's a busy week here this week... tomorrow I am taking Chris to the hospital for some tests and we are also having a new central heating boiler installed...  and Friday is lunch with the girls and Saturday is movie night...

And finally... Birthday Book Number 4!

Yes, this is the last of the birthday books that I made last week... this one is mine and I used Graphic 45 papers that I have had for ages and ages....
and it opens with me and my January birthday...

and my nephew

onto Christopher

my Mum,

Chris in May with my niece,

Eldest brother and niece in July

and second eldest brother also in July...

My nieces and nephews...

and my little brother to wind the year up...

with photos of my niece and nephew and my Mum.
I had great fun making these, they have a purpose which suited my need to make something with a practical application as well as just looking nice.

Canvas Photographs

So to go with the birthday books I made, I thought I would have a go at printing on canvas and making some little hanging pictures for my three brothers.
This one is for my little brother and is of his two gorgeous daughters.

This one is for my older brother and is of his son and daughter, the photo was taken in Bali, Indonesia.

This one is for my eldest brother and is of his son and daughter, photo taken in the Tarn, France when visiting my Mum.
The canvas was easy to rpint on but you have to take into account that the colour becomes less saturated and you have to back the canvas onto something solid, I have used chipboard covered in patterned papers and then inked and stamped.
They were fun to make, and I hope my brothers like them.

Birthday Book Three

So this is the cover of Birthday Book number three... for my little brother, Gary.
Front page is a photo of his two daughters.
Same format as the others is photographs of family members for the relevant month.
This is May and Chloe and Chris and their birthdays.
Busy July, Sandy has her birthday and two of my brothers.
Gary in December
and the final page is another photo of Sandy and Chloe.

Another stash buster, I bought these papers in Canada and have managed to make at least 3 different mini books from the pack and there is still some left!

Birthday Book Two

This is my second eldest brother's birthday book... I have added a note to each telling them that they are for when we are old and senile.... so we can look up who people are! ;)
It opens with a photograph of his two children.
and the same as in the previous version, I have added photos of all the family members along with their birthday in the relevant month.
I have left the pages very simple in the hope that they will appeal to men and also be used to add other birthdays and anniversaries.
another page for May
and young Scott for October.
Another set of papers that I have had for quite a while... and these are the perfect use for them because my brothers have no idea that patterned papers can be 'so last year....'

I keep hoping that I will turn around in the scrap room and notice that there is space where I have used stash but I think I have a ways to go before that happens!!

I apologise for the photographs... it would have been smart if I had checked to see what they were like before I zoomed off to the post office to send them on their merry way... LOL

WOYWW 296

This is my desk this chilly Wednesday morning... you will see that I am just finishing off the 4th little Family Birthday book.  Yes, 4 of them! LOL  You see, there is me and my three brothers... so I thought it would be fun to make us each a birthday book of the family.
This one is for my eldest brother.
My brother with his two children.
So I added photos of the family members to the relevant month in the book.
July is a busy month for birthdays... two brothers, my Dad and my niece
and I left enough room for extra birthdays or anniversaries to be added if needed.
I used some papers for this one that I have had since Saudi Arabia so I feel great that I have made a smallish dent in the stash of papers ... its always difficult making stuff for my brothers because I have to be so careful with colours... all three of them are colour blind and see reds and browns as greens so it will be interesting to hear how he likes this!! :)

I won't bore you with all the pages... or Julia will be on my case for a very long post! LOL
