WOYWW - 347!

I thought I would join in with Julia's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday this morning... this is my scrap desk and I have Chris' mini book of his 40 years of working with Fluor and all the countries he worked in during that time... I am as far as Canada so the end is in sight!
I started this book about 12 years ago so have been adding in all the overseas assignments from that point on... South Africa, Saudi, Canada, Australia, Netherlands...
oh and I thought I would show you my other desk... this is my computer desk so where I waste the most of my time!
and I am giving you the complete tour... this is the desk just inside my sun lounge next to the scrap room... and it has my sewing machine on it but it is a handy place to overflow onto if I have someone to come and visit and play.
Pandy and Tom-Tom say hi!

Looking forward to visiting lots of desks to see what everyone is up to!

Thank you for the tour of your desks. I have everything on one large desk, but a few small desks would be much better really.
Your kitties are very cute. Are they siblings?
I've just Googled Fluor, and it has nothing to do with fluor but it is a construction company, am I right? I am embarrassed to say I had never heard of it. Oh well. You have seen the world.Where were you in the Netherlands? In A'dam?
Thanks for visiting earlier and your sweet comment,
    Have a good week,

  19. The album is certainly a labour of love but oh how fantastic it will be to have all those memories in one place. The cats are adorable in the way they are sitting looking at the camera.
Thank you for the lovely comments you left on my blog - Mum is still in hospital and we are none too happy with the treatment she is receiving so there is a lot of 'toing & froing' trying to get answers.
    Have a lovely week.

  21. Although I didn't play in WOYWW this week, I simply had to stop by and see what was occupying your desk. I really am glad to see this book, and hope you will share it once it is finished, since I've only seen small bits from Saudi and Canada, but nothing from Australia or Africa. How soon does Chris retire?

On a different note, did I not say that Norma could compete with you for Embellishment Queen?

What a fantastic project you have been undertaking - 12 years of it! WOW! That is certainly something to leave to the family to be passed on down generations for years to come.
Thanks too for the look around.

  25. Thanks Annette for the guided tour (v. cute pussies ) .. and also the run down on hubbies places of visit for work.
I think out of the list we should win hands down but might be bit biased :D
Twelve years, great work but time taken is .. well, almost as bad as my teacloth :D

PS yes, re napkin technique the iron would not have been hot enough.
On my first rub over it hardly took at all, and started again with new sheet of plastic..
.. and worked a treat on full heat .. irons will vary though..

  26. How on earth can you get all that in one mini album?? I love my scrapbooking in 12 x 12 albums and I always struggle to keep to the pages given for just one holiday never mind years of photographs! I do take an awful lot of photographs it has to be said lol. A lot of time sure gets wasted on computers, mine is on my desk and I frequently get distracted from what I'm doing to watch something on You Tube or in a blog - such as now! I'm meant to be making a birthday card, not reading blogs! Nice to see your room and your lovely cats too. x
