To the observant amongst you it may look familiar... but the last time you saw it, it was in one piece!!
Yep, I had a catastraphe in the scrap room... namely a little furry person known as Tom-Tom!! He knocked it off the ledge and it crashed to the floor and lots of the bits that had been painstakingly glued into place either jumped out or broke off.... :( OK... it was not entirely Tom-Tom's fault as at the time he was being chased by Pandora so she must take some of the blame!!
So I have decided to spend the day fixing it... and maybe making it a bit more stable... by adding a wider chipboard box section to the bottom - yep, my little house is going to get a basement!! LOL
The two culprits... investigating their toy bin....
Don't forget to pop over to Julia's for the list of fellow desks to peak at...
Oh those naughty cats - keep mom busy, huh? The nice thing is that it still looks gorgeous in its "broken" state.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this, especially the colours, the tags hanging from it and the birdcage :) Cats will be cats!
ReplyDeleteBYW, I bought my Kaisercraft calendar from a lady here that has a shop in her basement. Not sure where she gets her supplies. Maybe one of the stores in Calgary could order?
Two very cute and not so helpful culprits ~ still I think I cause as much havoc in my room as they do enjoy your day, thanks for sharing,

Okay girlie...Spring IS coming and don't you forget it! Wouldn't be able to do what you do - you are very brave indeed. I'm so sorry about your beautious treasure, but with a Tom Tom and a Pandora...what more can I say? A basement sounds like a wonderful plan.

Hope you are able to sort out the 'furballs' deconstruction efforts without too many problems.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Oh, they look as innocent as anything!! I am sure you will repair your house and it will look as good as - better than - before!
ReplyDeleteHope you get your other wish of spring soon! We haven't had snow since before Christmas but it is still cold!! (though not in your league, of course..) Sending your warm thoughts.
Another fabulous altered creation...forgive your cats, they have no idea how important human things are! In fact, they are positively aloof to all that goes on around them but I still miss having one in my life.

oh your little tray/house thingy is amazing, love all those little things you have around it. Really want to have a go at this, but there's nothing near here to point me in the right direction! and its too expensive to buy the wrong stuff! have a great week. Happy WOYWW! #35

Oh what a fab picture of your "two culprits" but is that a third hanging from the bin LOL? How can you be angry with them - no wonder cats get away with murder.
ReplyDeleteLove your house and look forward to seeing it with its basement. #36
Where did you get your little bird cage from please? I have been looking around for them since doing the TH workshop last week. #36
ReplyDeleteOh dear! And such adorable culprits. It looks like the cat is checking why you have put his friend in the bin :-)
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to pop over to our shop and put your name down in the next gift draw.

Sorry to hear the fur babies were rough housing! Mine get into some of the same business and I end up reconstructing. I think it always looks better the second time around! Thanks for sharing. Vickie #49

What precious little babies! Love your box! Hope you can make the repairs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame ...bet it will be even more amazing when mended ...but as I know only too well ...nothing is safe in the wake of two cats.
ReplyDeleteWHOOPS naughty kitties! Must be something in the air as my three have been going nuts too today. Hope that you get it sorted out and can't wait to see the new basement.
ReplyDeleteNaughty little kitties! All that hard work and that's how they repay you! Perhaps you can get a snow blower for your little house too!!

Spring is her and moving your way. I promise! Well, sounds like the cats are having a fun time. I had a friends cat do something like that in my studio once. She does not bring him around anymore. That's a good thing. Have a warm day!
ReplyDeleteNaughty little babies. Have fun fixing your house. 88
ReplyDeleteMy husband is headed to Calgary today from Ontario so he will be going from cold to even colder! Gotta love those pets. Somehow we love to forgive because what they give us far exceeds anything else.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it looked like before, but I can tell when you have fixed it that it will be amazing. I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteOh bad cats! Still, a lovely opportunity to gaze at your work and give it a bit of a tweak! Minus 49 - girl you need not be out in that for too long - your extremities will drop off. Honestly, if gets any colder, you may have to consider leaving him!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, now why would you leave anything where the cats play? All your fault I think. I think it was just a grand plan, you wanted to revamp it, so you needed an excuse, very clever putting it there.
ReplyDeleteLove the box, and your puss cats are adorable! Shaz #125
ReplyDeleteHope you can make a good repair job. Thanks for suggestions on the penroll post. I guess we could easily make one to measure if you have specific requirements. Annie has made all her pen rolls different with different sized pockets. Have a good week. x Jo
ReplyDeleteOh what a shame... I have just made a configurations box with the wonderful Tim Holtz and I would be so upset if it was broken... but you seem to be ahving fun re-doing it... good luck

Ah such a shame your lovely project took a tumble but cats will be cats! Whenever I complain how cold it seems a visit to blog always puts things in perspective :)
ReplyDeleteOh, they're sooooo sweet! I lost my little furry boy last year, he was just like that and sooo cuddly :( :(
ReplyDeleteHowever, as someone else has said, your house still looks amazing even after the pussquake and I don't remember seeing it before - I hope you'll post photos of the makeover! x
Your house box looks fabulous! Hope to see more pics of it, when fully renovated after cat-astrophe!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Thanks for your comment in the shop....as it happens I have made some with different sized slots so will make sure it's one of those :-)
ReplyDeleteA x
oh my goodness, good thing you are good at fixing things up. i'm sure it will be as good as new.
ReplyDeleteThey may be naughty but they are cute cats - hope you get it all back the way you want - Nicky running late this week - no 16
ReplyDeleteOh no I hope it's all back in one piece such a shame hugs Pam x
ReplyDeleteOops guess they were in the cats house so to speak!!!! I missed the first picture of this so it's great that the cats knocked it over for those who didn't see it first (that sounds really bad doesn't it!!!). Hopefully nothing was badly broken, but it's a gorgeous piece of art.
