Yep... that's all that is on my work desk this week... a couple of "lav" people which need to be painted and papered to match my friend Odelia's newly painted downstairs half bath!! All I have is the colour to go on and a request that I don't make them have faces.... which is good... because I don't do faces at the best of times and I can only imagine what spooky types they might end up if I tried!! LOL
Don't forget to go to Julia's and find the linky list of craftyness around the world!!
what a cool idea, art that doubles up with function. I love it.

love these two - always think they are so much fun to work with!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your desk today. Sarah at 2.
Hope you will post a pic of the finished people for us to see.

Great idea - can't put it better than Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who has always looked at these shapes and thought "lav people" LOL
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Nice idea. I think I may copy it and put them on my toilet by the kitchen. There are 3 doors in the short hall and people are always opening the laundry or office door instead of the bathroom. Thanks for sharing. Vickie
ReplyDeleteWell that is great fun... don't think I like the idea of lav peeps with faces either!!! Don't forget my birdcage swap!!!

Great idea. I love home decor that is one of a kind, and after looking around some shops with all the same stuff in am now wondering about making some of my own.
ReplyDeleteAh fun! Are these from the Cricut cart..actually they look like ply..oh well it doesn't matter. I like the idea very much. Am totally ignorant though - what's a half bath? Is it what we call a 'cloakroom'?
ReplyDeleteLol! I think they would be adorable with faces. :)
ReplyDeleteYou never know what's going to turn up on people's desks!! Am interested to see how the Loo Two turn out :D Have a great week xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project you have this week.
ReplyDeleteI love functional art!

Thanks for the visit - yup - somehow doing 3 or more things at once suits my hummingbird brain - and btw - I luv, luv, luv your smash book - I will probably be making full use of your tutorial! x
ReplyDeleteLOL! Love that for a half bath! How fun! I would never have thought of it! Thanks for sharing your desk today and making me smile! Happy WOYWW -Amanda
ReplyDeleteVery cool. What a great idea for a bathroom. I think they need the line between them that they use to indicate unisex bathrooms :) Look forward to seeing them decorated (and with faces they would be just creepy :D)
ReplyDeleteMary Anne
I didn't join WOYWW this week. I was in the "loo." No, actually I was working in the basement and finally got the chairs out of my kitchen and MOST of the empty boxes out of the basement. It feels good. Not organized, yet, but trying to decide on a final plan.
ReplyDeleteThose lav people are adorable. I wouldn't be able to draw a face, either. I'll leave that to Amy and Doone.
Hi hun
ReplyDeleteoh look forward to seeing them with clothes on! lol, thanks for the mooch, happy WOYWW, sue,x
Knowing you, its going to be amazing. Hope you are having a lot of fun with your son.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
These shapes are really interesting. But, just like you, I'm not a face-painting person. So faceless would be the best. Thanks for visiting me.
ReplyDeleteBye, Franka
maybe you need to do lambanana research for inspiration???
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see your toilette tweeks...
dx
Haha....as soon as I saw the pictures and before I read the post I was thinking - men's room/ladies room. Thank goodness that is what they are for! Happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteThose made me smile when i saw them appear on my side bar. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm always scared to make faces as well as I think I'm not good at it. And then I find myself doing it anyway and they always turn out crooked and very "individual". I call it "lots of character"...
ReplyDeleteI hope to see the finished project and am pretty sure it will be something gorgeous.
Now, why didn't I think of putting these on the downstairs lav??? They are so cute - can't wait to see how you dress them. Hope you are having a great time checkin more items of your bucket list :) Elizabeth x #70
ReplyDeleteWell, that is certainly a different desk to what I am used to seeing on your blog. WOW.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me - had 3 days away and good news they brought the procedure forward.
I smiled at the comments above, and also yours at not being good at faces think I am like that! thanks so much for popping over, happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me what pops up on your desk - and I can't wait to see what you do with them. Something fabulous no doubt!
