What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday - 31st August 2011

I just typed the date... and realised that the year is 3/4 over!!  How did that happen... I was going to do so many things this year and the time is running out!! Last week I missed WOYWW because we were away in Niagara Falls, had a lovely time with my son and have heaps of photos... but I will make that a post for tomorrow.
well, OK... here's one for a laugh... I mean to say... why did the photographer want us to put our hands in the air like that??  What twit wouldn't be hanging on for grim death to that barrel if it was going over the falls??
Anyways... you aren't here for my rabbiting... I had better show my workdesk... which is a bit of a mess as I am still working on the tip in pages for the swap...
The tip in is supposed to represent the sun and moon... but said I am waiting (very impatiently) for said sun and moon to dry because I have coated them with texture paste...
and if I swing left and behind me this is the mess I have made...
and this is my desk corner...and the piles on the floor next to my desk are all the bits I brought back from Niagara and will hopefully turn into a mini book!!
Don't forget to pop over to our fairest of desk inspectors, Julia, for the complete linky list of desks to snoop into.... you really never know what you are going to find from one week to the next!!

  1. That ONE photo of Niagara Falls is a hoot. Can't wait to see the rest. Glad it was a true family vacation.

I'm still impressed with those tip-ins. I would NEVER be able to make that many different ones. You are the super woman of composition excellence.

  15. Some folk say wait til you're older... then time flies. Goodness. It can't whizz by any quicker. There's a chill in the air, a sea of stressed school uniform shopping mums galore and no doubt I will see the first festive stuff on the shelves this week. Sigh. Carpe diem and all that.
Thanks for the peek! Sarah (at 4)

  16. How fun is that photo - I love it when they make you do the opposite of logical poses..I have one in my wedding album. There I am, 5'3" of large white dress and he wanted me to lean against a white pillar. It's not a good accessory!! I accept that you feel your desk is messy becuase you are mid flow - but even then..your habit is clearly only to have what you're using on the surface..unlike me where i work on top of everything I've pulled out to use. Fascinating, aren't we!

  18. Love the pink, black and white on the last picture - looks such a pretty room and what a fab idea that quote is.
The green mat (2nd piccie) looks a bit like mine, not as bad as mine, but well loved and used.
Great (read barrel of laughs) first photo, evidence that a good time was had by all.
Thanks for your good wishes, Hugs, Neet #5

  24. Dread to think what you would make of my desk when I call it messy, as I'd call yours tidy!

  25. Actually, I think we do come here to see you "rabbiting on" *lol* It's great to see the photos you publish and how you explain what's going on - always puts a grin on my face :)

Have a wonderful WOYWW - your desk always looks interesting.... and I know how you feel about waiting for things to dry - as if staring at them or poking your finger into it will make it dry any quicker! *lol* (Or is that just me? )

  33. busy desk! I love the pics of your craft room it is so neat and organized. I went to a wild west place a few years ago and he had us throw up our hands as an actor pointed a stick of dynamite at us. I would have run not stood there looking silly in that ratty old garb! Looking forward to your mini book. Vickie

The project on your desk looks fabulous and will be worth the wait of the texture paint drying!
Your space doesn't look too messy to me, you will see in my picture I only took a picture of some of my desk as the rest of the desk and the room is too scary!
