Tea on Tuesday

OK, I will admit straight out... it is not tea in that mug... it is hot chocolate!  I drink tea from a cup and saucer, which, in my humble opinion, is the only way to drink tea.  But, it is winter here in Brisbane... and its a bit nippy down in the scraproom so a mug of hot chocolate is the way to go. Don't you love that mug?
Chris bought it for me when we were at the scrapbooking and papercrafting expo in Brisbane and I think it is fab.
Now, you are probably asking why I am waffling on about tea and hot chocolate... but I am joining Elizabeth for her Tea on Tuesday this morning.  You don't have to drink tea... any beverage is acceptable!!
Now I have to get back to altering that wooden book box... but I will pop back in a while and visit any other partakers of tea... just need to make a start as is it is our wedding anniversary tomorrow and I need to have it finished for Chris.... the odds are pretty much stacked against me on achieving this goal!!

  1. I'm thrilled beyond belief that you have joined me for T today. Hot chocolate is always so good in the winter. The internet really brings it all home that we live in a 24/7 world now. It's hard for me to fathom that it's winter when I am sitting in front of my AC trying to cool off a bit at nearly 11 at night.

I know you are really quick, and I also know you are the Queen of Embellishments. I assure you that if you put your mind to it, that gift will be finished in plenty of time to celebrate. And it will be decorated to the NINES.

BTW, I hope you and Chris have a super anniversary. I'm pretty certain from seeing photos of him and the way he acts around you, he would be happy with just your presence and not expect any presents.

Go girl - you'll have that box sorted in no time.

Wishing you & Chris a fabulous anniversary.

  3. Oh, if only my craft desk were this neat--but that is a whole post in itself! I do love that mug as well as the cute little shopping cart holding a tag in the background!

I have seen your awesome work so I know that box will turn out beautifully, and since it is already tomorrow there...Happy Anniversary to you and Chris!

Happy Anniversary ... wish I could send you some Virginia heat but it would come with sticky humidity too this time of year ;)

  5. Best wishes on your anniversary!!
I don't drink tea from a cup and saucer typically. Occasionally I will and it does take on a different air for sure. It also cools faster so I can drink it in big gulps (which is totally not how to drink tea but when it is so yummy sometimes you just gotta)
    Happy T~

  6. Happy Anniversary!
I'm a coffee drinker, and my tea is usually iced and my "go to" drink in the heat of the day.
