T stands for Tuesday!

I am joining Elizabeth and Bluebeard for T on Tuesday.... with hot chocolate! ;)
Oh and I felt like I had procrastinated quite long enough and decided to put together the pack of wood and chipboard I pictured last week!  You know there aren't destructions with that kit????  Nope, not a dicky bird on how to put all that stuff together!  So I did what I always do when faced with these situations... I headed for YouTube!!  Yep, there was a video clip from Kaisercraft on how to put them together... a computer generated 'put together' which lasts 35 seconds!! LOL  Let me tell you, that clever computer put the entire thing together faster than I could do one slot!!  Click the link if you want a laugh.
It's not looking much at the moment is it?  I gave it a coat or two of pale aqua... to pick out the aqua in the papers I have chosen... so I am now holding thumbs/crossing fingers that it turns out something like my brain thinks it should!

  1. OK, I'm confused. Did you have to put the boxes together, too, or were they already assembled? Looks like they either come assembled, or you have to purchase them separately. I'd be frustrated if I had something like that as my guide. Guess I'd be stopping the "action" a LOT.

It's good that you got it this far. It's looking lovely. Will that be the new look/color for this craft room? I remember Canada was pink.

Oh, I'll join you for hot chocolate in about four months, when it cools a bit here.

BTW, I have NO idea how much tea I have to dry to make a single cup of tea. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks. What you saw was a single plant I purchased. It really hasn't grown that much since May, either.

  5. The colour is lovely Annette and I'm sure that the finished item will look fabulous.

I'm sitting here hugging a mug of coffee because the temp has dropped quite a bit and they have forecast rain.

  10. I am impressed with your assembly skills and clever gull you thinking of YouTube. My first thought is usually Google (shhh don't let Elizabeth hear me utter that G word LOL)... but YouTube is a fabulous source as well.

I am sure you are going to enjoy your lovely new aqua storage unit very much!

    Happy T day to you

  11. Great drawers though you would think for the price you paid (just looked em up on Amazon) they would spare a sheet of paper!!
They are the right colour for my room if you want to pass them on!
    Hugs

  13. Youtube ROCKs it in my opinion. Someone somewhere is out there just waiting to show you how "it" is done and for that, I am grateful!
    Happy T day!

  16. Oooh nice - I do love the Kaisercraft stuff - but agree with you on the slight lack of instructions - I made 3 sets of their 6-drawer bookends as Christmas prezzies last year and by the third one I finally understood what I had to do lol... looking forward to seeing the finished job!

  17. Wow for the the Draws, sure beat my Ikea ones.lol The video is actually quiet clear just a tad to fast!!! but yours will look brilliant and I love the colour

  18. I had to follow that link - clear as a bell, isn't it, if you have a photographic memory. More and more things we buy require us to spend hours on the internet looking up how to work them. The instructions are rubbish. I will join you later for a cup of hot chocolate. xx Maggie

  20. It always amazes me what one can find on you tube! Faced with that pile of pieces and no instructions, I am sure it would have taken me more than 35 seconds to figure it all out! Lovely color! Enjoy your hot chocolate!

  21. No, the fairy is actually a discourage project direct from a CD Rom. However,I do also have the stamp too. They are both from the Crafters Companion range. I am now suffering from shock, having just been "attacked" by the most enormous garden spider in the bedroom. It managed to push the card off the top of the container and jump out. I was saved by a spider eating dog, bless her. I need a good spider catcher on a very long pole. Hope you have a spider free week. xx Maggie

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment, it is truly appreciated - sort of confirms that it is more than my Mum and husband that read this thing! :)
