I am joining Elizabeth and Bluebeard for T on Tuesday.... with hot chocolate! ;)
Oh and I felt like I had procrastinated quite long enough and decided to put together the pack of wood and chipboard I pictured last week! You know there aren't destructions with that kit???? Nope, not a dicky bird on how to put all that stuff together! So I did what I always do when faced with these situations... I headed for YouTube!! Yep, there was a video clip from Kaisercraft on how to put them together... a computer generated 'put together' which lasts 35 seconds!! LOL Let me tell you, that clever computer put the entire thing together faster than I could do one slot!! Click the link if you want a laugh.
It's not looking much at the moment is it? I gave it a coat or two of pale aqua... to pick out the aqua in the papers I have chosen... so I am now holding thumbs/crossing fingers that it turns out something like my brain thinks it should!
OK, I'm confused. Did you have to put the boxes together, too, or were they already assembled? Looks like they either come assembled, or you have to purchase them separately. I'd be frustrated if I had something like that as my guide. Guess I'd be stopping the "action" a LOT.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you got it this far. It's looking lovely. Will that be the new look/color for this craft room? I remember Canada was pink.
Oh, I'll join you for hot chocolate in about four months, when it cools a bit here.
BTW, I have NO idea how much tea I have to dry to make a single cup of tea. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks. What you saw was a single plant I purchased. It really hasn't grown that much since May, either.
Oh crap! Ignore that last comment about drawers. I just saw them sitting on your desk. I'm such a dufus!! I must need coffee.
ReplyDeleteyou go girl!
ReplyDeleteCan I join you with that hot chocolate? In my world it's always time for hot chocolate!
ReplyDelete35 seconds! That was impressive. All made perfect sense...can you make it go at half speed...maybe you could keep up! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe colour is lovely Annette and I'm sure that the finished item will look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here hugging a mug of coffee because the temp has dropped quite a bit and they have forecast rain.
Toni xx
Love your little tower of shelves Annette and the colour is one of my favourites so will be watching on with interest as to what you're going to do next with them.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

ps. think I might need something stronger to get me started on my book making this morning!
Love love love the colour so far - I had to hop across via your blog to get to T for Tuesday - my internet is being weird LOL... cant wait to see your finished carousel... have a great week... Mxx
ReplyDeletegod. i hate that..how hard would it be to add a sheet of diagrams or words. nice chosen colour though. 'Spect you've finished it by now!
ReplyDeleteOh my it looks lovely, (not what I imagined) love the colour and have you stolen my glass cup from last week!?! Snap! I've only just stopped for a cuppa so haven't joined in yet, but will do soon!
ReplyDelete((Lyn))
I am impressed with your assembly skills and clever gull you thinking of YouTube. My first thought is usually Google (shhh don't let Elizabeth hear me utter that G word LOL)... but YouTube is a fabulous source as well.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are going to enjoy your lovely new aqua storage unit very much!
Happy T day to you
oxo
Great drawers though you would think for the price you paid (just looked em up on Amazon) they would spare a sheet of paper!!
ReplyDeleteThey are the right colour for my room if you want to pass them on!
Hugs
xx
Happy Tuesday! That cup of cocoa looks inviting today. It's a little cool this morning which is just fine with me!!
ReplyDeleteYoutube ROCKs it in my opinion. Someone somewhere is out there just waiting to show you how "it" is done and for that, I am grateful!
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
~Dawn
Quick stop this morning to say hello and your storage is taking shape nicely. 35 seconds huh? Your eyes must still be bouncing after trying to follow that, but you got it together....congrats!!
ReplyDeletei always think of hot chocolate as a winter drink. i'm not sure why, because i drink hot tea and coffee all year round. i think i need to broaden my horizons a bit. your drink looks tempting :)
ReplyDeleteOooh nice - I do love the Kaisercraft stuff - but agree with you on the slight lack of instructions - I made 3 sets of their 6-drawer bookends as Christmas prezzies last year and by the third one I finally understood what I had to do lol... looking forward to seeing the finished job!
ReplyDeleteWow for the the Draws, sure beat my Ikea ones.lol The video is actually quiet clear just a tad to fast!!! but yours will look brilliant and I love the colour
ReplyDeleteI had to follow that link - clear as a bell, isn't it, if you have a photographic memory. More and more things we buy require us to spend hours on the internet looking up how to work them. The instructions are rubbish. I will join you later for a cup of hot chocolate. xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteIt's looking pretty spiffy at the moment! A spinning tower with drawers...cool! Love the color. I could go for a choco milk. :) a tad hot here today for hot choco. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me what one can find on you tube! Faced with that pile of pieces and no instructions, I am sure it would have taken me more than 35 seconds to figure it all out! Lovely color! Enjoy your hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteNo, the fairy is actually a discourage project direct from a CD Rom. However,I do also have the stamp too. They are both from the Crafters Companion range. I am now suffering from shock, having just been "attacked" by the most enormous garden spider in the bedroom. It managed to push the card off the top of the container and jump out. I was saved by a spider eating dog, bless her. I need a good spider catcher on a very long pole. Hope you have a spider free week. xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteany day is a great day for hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the 35 second chuckle.
It's super, love the colour choice. Pleased you managed to find the instructions though I had a peek and if you blinked you would miss them lol x
