April Dress Up

The challenge for Dress Up this month was to use Art Deco as the style for the dress... I have had a real problem with this theme and I really don't know why as I love the glamour of the period.  I abandoned my first attempt and almost abandoned this one as well but in the spirit of the challenge I am going to say it is done and move on to something else and hope that I can do better next time!

  2. I think you are being a little hard on yourself ... I really like it ... had you not told me it was art deco and asked me the period ... I would have said art deco! Good on you for not giving up!
Is my room ready yet :0)

  3. I'm not sure where your hesitation is coming from since this is simply marvelous! great use of contrasting materials and rich composition that feels VERY art deco and authentic! Way to go!

  10. I genuinely believe you are being too hard on yourself because this is one really decked out Art Deco dress. The feathers are perfect and the necklace is divine. Believe me, it reads Art Deco.

What took me so long to write this comment is, I just checked my mail and the gorgeous card you sent was in my mailbox. I love it, even if it isn't the handmade one. One thing though, the shoe on the card would NOT go with that Art Deco dress! I have to admit, it is perfect timing. Just a few hours before "my big day."
