WOYWW 6th April 2011

Looking rather boring today... I have had to hide the fat book swap pages that were on the back of the desk... finished but for one small thing which is hopefully winging its way to me in the mail... but I have the start of my April Dress Up laying there... not sure what I am going to do yet!  and another piece of chipboard which I was playing with to see what the new Mod Podge with a glimmer in looks like... it has a beautiful sheen and I think will add something extra to odd bits and pieces!!
and look what arrived in the post today!!  Thank you Julia... you are a star, I love the chippie house and I will truly enjoy every single one of these foam bananas!!  LOL  I saw some on her desk one Wednesday of snooping and was so jealous as I haven't seen those banana sweets since I left the UK!!
On my other desk are some finds from Michaels where I went shopping this morning... Easter is coming... yes, really it is!!  So we may still have snow on the ground and it doesn't feel very spring-like but I had to buy these...
aren't they cute?  Little paper cupcake favour boxes!!  Perfect for my cake stand and calorie free!
and these large EAT letters were on sale for $3.50... probably because of the yellow colour... but that's fine by me... they can stay yellow till Easter is over then I will alter them a bit!
and backwards they spell TEA... which is fun too!
and it spells ATE if you happened to allow one of the Easter eggs to fall into the wrong hands!! I think I will have some fun with these over the next couple of weeks.
Don't forget to pop over to Julia's for the linky list of desks to visit!!

  15. Banana sweets?? Ugh. Glad you are happy to get them but I think I would get that slight sickly feeling if they showed up in my post. Not fair, hiding stuff :( Maybe next week we can get a peek?

  24. you need to come and be a house guest for a while - we have fridge magnets that were innocent until released into the hands of teenage boys and girls,
we had an action man the ended up in compromising positions in the toilet (new reposition by each person who uses the loo) - we have a VILE ornament that I keep throwing away that reappears in a prominent position when we have 'important' guests,

I know you would just join in the fun and add your own special touch...let me know when you are next in the highlands, we can reposition some words/dolls/stuff

  25. I'm thinking you can probably put up with all that snow just to finally live in a location where they have a Michaels!! Forget what's going on outside (it was sleeting on the way to work this morning) it can be whatever season you want it to be on the inside!

  40. Haven't seen bananas for years. What a sugar hit! And lots cheaper than the real thing here since the floods ruined much of the crop. The cup cakes are clever, too.
    Take care, Ros.

  41. I'm so far behind, trying to catch up on a few things, and have definitely been missing in action on your blog lately. I really like the eat/ate/tea. These letters will come in quite handy on Tea Tuesday.

  42. You always amaze me that you can create such beautiful thungs on such a clean desk! Those cupcake boxes are so cute, just don't let Madame C see them!
I am afraid in my house that word would always stay 'ate' - nothing last long here.
    Happy belated WOYWW

  43. Cupcakes! Yum! And the letters are way too fun. yeah, mine would say "ate" all the time. With crumbs as proof.

  45. Fab letters - trouble is, I think they may have been reduced because someone mislaid/took/hid the "S", "E" and "R" - perhaps (being yellow) they should have combined to say "EASTER". Love the favour boxes!
