WOYWW 8th February 2012

Our esteemed leader of the desks, Julia,  has really got me moving this evening... its only teatime here!! :)  So another week has disappeared but I do feel as though I am back into some form of groove and creating again.
I thought I would go from the distant angle this week... for two reasons... the jigsaw puzzle on the desk is a gift for someone who visits and has been owed for many months now so I don't want her to see the details and I am also trying not to stand in a pile of glitter which landed on my chair and floor and... yeah, glitter... so my next task will be to try and vacuum it all up!! Amazing how far that stuff can travel without any assistance at all!!  At the back of my desk you can see the secret drawers mini book which got finished this week (details if you are interested are in the previous post to this).

    Yup Julia caught us all out! I only like to post once a day and now I've posted twice and Wednesday will be barren lol! I'm sure the recipient will love the puzzle, perhaps you can show it all next week?

    I can't believe I was just sitting around waiting for midnight, when I decided to check. Lo and behold I was late AGAIN this week.

    Wow, wonder who that puzzle is for! I even enlarged and saw a British flag. I promise not to mention who gets it (grin).

    I did not realize you had lived here in Sunny South Africa! Do you find it hard moving countries all the time? Happy WOYWW, your desk looks great, can't see the glitter but so know what you mean...

    Glitter...I am banned in the winter. DH likes me to glitter outside! hahahahaha
    He hates having glitter stuck to him...and is always trying to wipe it off my face etc.

    I know how far glitter travels, as my craft room is upstairs, and the opposite side of the house to the kitchen, but my food still glitters prettily when its cooking, oops!

    I went to your previous post to check out the book. WOW, it is amazing and truly (no word of a lie) one of the MOST fantastic creations I have ever seen on WOYWW. I adore all those little hidden books in the drawers, all the wonderful steampunk details - there was so much to look at. How on earth did you start to create that - I wouldn't know where to begin. But it is quite, quite, magnificent.

    Glitter piles on the floor sounds about right, although yesterday I had a find coating of glitter all over my trouser leg. I sparkled in the thin, cold sunshine. Tidy desk - very unlike you :)

    Actually, that turquoise mat and the new cutter give your desk a scientific air now..and, is that daylight!! How strange! of course Ive had to backtrack for a squizz at the album..it's gorgeous.

    Cant wait to see a close up ...looks such fun as for backs ...dont they make you feel old and tired. Physically I feel atleast 15 years older while my brain forgets and thinks I'm 15 years younger ...until I pass a mirror lol.

    Ah glitter, I got into trouble with my daughter after my wee granddaughter got it all over the carpet, you see, it was my fault, I gave her the glitter in a box of crafting goodies :( I've now got her one of those neat wee glitter stations, if only to save me from the wrath of my daughter :)) Enjoyed peering at your busy desk today.     Love all your liccle didi boxes of storage at the back, must tell us what's in them, these new blogger pictures don't let you 'blow them up' bigger any more! Not snowing here yet! But might do ....hope not.

    great looking desk this week! Is the long object to the left a fold up cutter? I was looking into new cutters and that resembles one I looked at. If so do you like it?
