WOYWW 29th February 2012

Greeting woywwers!!  I was out scrap shopping earlier and picked up a few bits and pieces but they are still in the bag... so on my desk today is the album I am working on... for my son, with all the photos from his trip out here last summer.
Doing male mini books is always a bit of a challenge for me as I have to resist adding all the bling and ribbons and stuff and keep looking at it like its naked, or something!!
and I am still getting over having to clear the driveway and path three times in one day!!  It just wouldn't stop snowing... I would clear it and a couple of hours later you would be hard pushed to know I had done anything!!

  1. I think you need to buy a snow plow. Especially with your neighborhood association's insane rules.

I look forward to Christopher's album. I know men are very hard to scrap or make books for.

I kept looking for your name. I've been checking every few minutes, just anxious to see what you are up to. Now I can rest for awhile (grin).

  2. The album is looking good, I think. The background papers are really nice. I've always liked the idea of living where it snows, but I guess the day to day business of dealing with it would be an entirely different matter! Happy WOYWW!

  13. 3 times? Oh my.... I think Elizabeth is right, you need a plow! I think your album looks great. I don't scrapbook at all, but cards are hard enough for men, so I can imagine!

  17. You see, I think you're the only one in the street clearing the snow...take a million house points. Couldn't agree more about an album for a boy, am thinking of tackling one for my BiL but manage to keep putting it off. Is that black thread or the wires for some technology?

  19. That album is great, but I know what you mean about it seeming to be naked without all the bling and ribbon! Males are so hard to please, I mean what's the harm with a bit of ribbon! Happy Wednesday to you, enjoy this week's snoop of oh so creative places & take care. Zo xx 83

  24. Nice to see such a colourful album, mine would be all brown and the such if it was for a man. You can use lots of brads and eyelets and things like that, cogs, wheels - but then they might not fit in with the images. I will shut up. Look forward to seeing more of it if possible.
    Don't envy you the snow.
    Hugs, Neet #19 xx

Be careful of all that ice!

Thanks for already coming to see my desk :)

  26. The book is looking good Annette.

Poor you having to shovel all that snow - perhaps you need a tent-type tunnel leading to the house to keep the path clear during the snowy months.

  30. I just got home a few minutes ago and opened my mailbox to find your package! I eagerly opened the outer wrapper, then noticed everything inside is wrapped. So, I will take time to inspect and appreciate everything as soon as I get it all unwrapped (grin). Thank you SO much, even though I've yet to discover all the wonderful goodies inside. Of course, I know there's a puzzle piece, but that's all I know!

  31. OHHHH Annette. I'm in LOVE with everything. It took me awhile to go through everything, because I took a long time savoring each wonderfully wrapped package as I opened it. Of course, I can't tell you how much I love the TWO rocking horses, but I also love the other goodies, too. I'll post them all on Saturday, since I have to now finish my IA challenge for the week. And your puzzle puts mine to shame!!! thank you so, so much for outdoing yourself.
