JYC December 1st

And so the journey begins with an email from Shimelle bright and early this morning!

This is my manifesto page or promise to keep going through to the end of the month.

"to find 15 minutes a day throughout December to keep a Christmas journal. In it, I will write something every day to reflect on holidays of the past, on holidays of the present and dream about the holidays of the future.

To some, this may appear to be a stack of papers and trivial scribbles, but not to me, and hopefully not to future generations who may look back through this journal and see a Christmas through my photographs and my thoughts.

I am taking back Christmas, I am going to let it be something I enjoy and most importantly I am promising to find 15 minutes of each day, no matter how crazy the season.

This Christmas I will make something with my own hands, my own words and my own memories.
Annette

I added a photograph of the wonderful Santa on camels that I found at the bazaar a few weeks ago, they will be attached to the wires of my journal when I am finished. They represent my Christmas this year - adapting it to Saudi Arabia just like Santa adapting his mode of transport.
